On August 12, 1903 Nicholas MacLeod started a credit reporting business in partnership with an attorney that did local collections. Prior to its current structure, ownership and names (CBS Reporting, CBS Collections) our company underwent several name changes to include the Spokane Credit Men's Rating Bureau, Spokane Credit Bureau, Credit Bureau of Spokane and then to our immediately previous incarnation: Credit Bureau Services.

While no longer acting as a "credit bureau", CBS Reporting is still an active participant in our credit economy as a vendor management company and reseller of credit information. |

In 1982 what was then Credit Bureau Services purchased an existing collection agency and has since established itself as a leader in that industry. Now a stand-alone professional third-party collection agency we operate as CBS Collections, Inc. and serve business clients through out the Inland Northwest and beyond. |
